Early Email #007: September Campaigns
Good morning π
It's been five weeks since I last emailed you, so totally OK if you don't remember me.
Refresher: My name is Kat, and I send weekly eCommerce email campaign ideas and strategies.
My excuse: Technical problems with a new email domain.
But enough about me, let's get to our September Campaign ideas (and something interesting at the P.S. at the end of this email).
Labor Day
This marks the beginning of the big sales leading up to the holidays.
Think of this as an opportunity to acquire people on your list for BFCM and Christmas/New Year shopping season.
Some key things to do:
1. Prep your list a week aheadβtell them a big sale coming.
2. Send an invite to your non-SMS subscribers' list to join your SMS list for Early Access.
3. Send your SMS list a reminder, telling them they're getting Early Access.
9/11
This is not really the time to do sales, but a terrific opportunity to show solidarity, especially if you're serving the USA market.
Some specifically patriotic-inspired companies might be able to pull off a sale (think military gear), but for most companies, consider it carefully.
Random Holidays
September has interesting random holidays:
Wife Appreciation Day
World Beard Day
Ask A Stupid Question Day
As always, the key is to find a few of these that are closely related to your brand. That or make it fun. Don't overdo it. This is an opportunity not to do a sale, but instead to connect and engage with your audience.
"Ask A Stupid Question Day" has so many possibilities IMO...
Here's a list to get the juices flowing: September 2022 Calendar (USA)
Next Week (Your help is appreciated!)
Starting next week, I'll be sending you emails from kat@katgarcia.com.
I need your help whitelisting my email then (I'll include info on how to do it).
If you don't see an email from me next week, please check your spam folder.
Happy Emailing,
Kat
P.S. I just signed up for a $2,500 marketing strategy and copywriting course. I don't know about you, but that's a lot of money for me. Here's something interesting though: If I attend all eight weekly sessions and apply one lesson that I learned, I'll get my money back. So I technically get the course for free.
Don't believe me? Here's the course page: Project Delta
Oh, and ignore the $50K price tag. I have the code to bring that down to $2,500. Email me if you're interested. We can be classmates!
